Some non-bird requests. :) 7 Reeves's Muntjac, 5 Leafy Seadragon. (I THINK they're easy to tell apart...)

Another grab-bag of randomness here. Any requests made for bird icons will be in this set. The non-avians are coming later. :) Hover over for alt text of the species, or see the key at the bottom.

Bunches of icons today. I've got a set of bald eagles, a set of North American warblers, and another grab-bag of goodies...many of them silhouetted, because I can't resist silhouettes. Hovering your mouse over an icon should get you alt text with the species.

TEASERS:

First set, the eagles. Bald Eagles x15 )

Second set, the warblers. Warblers x25 )

And finally, the grab-bag. Grab-bag Birds x55 )

Hey look, another grab-bag! I probably should have held off on posting that last set, since posting tends to get me inspired to work on more, but I actually started those back in February and never posted them. Now you get two posts instead of one! Or none.

Another assorted set here. Warning: One image (#12) does contain carrion. No blood or gore, however.

First of all, the American Crow set has been reuploaded and should work fine. :)

Secondly, this is just a little icon post, but I haven't posted in so long I figured I might as well do it now. Requests open, as always.

Based on a request for city pigeon icons, here's a mini-set of urban birds. Fun fact: For North Americans, all of these birds are also introduced species.

[5] European Starling
[5] House Sparrow
[10] Rock Pigeon

In place of that rather ridiculous Question of the Day, have a much better nod to National Bird Day: some bird icons! It's another grab bag, heavy on Snowy Owls, vultures, ibises, and small winter birds.

What's this? These still aren't birds! Yeah, I did a big batch of wild cat icons because...well, why not? For bird fans, I promise, I'll return to the featherbutts soon. (Probably after NaNoWriMo.) For those who like cats, well, here you go! Check the key for the species, or hover your mouse for the alt-tag.

What's this? These aren't birds! Yeah, I don't always do bird icons, and [info]summer_jackel asked nicely for coyote and jackal icons, so here's a set of 25 canids--10 coyotes, 10 black-backed jackals, and 5 side-striped jackals. Except an astute viewer will note that there's birds in there too. I can't help it.

Also, if you have any other requests--birds or other animals--I'll do my best to fill them. If you've requested in the past and I didn't get to it, I likely forgot. Oops.

(Is anyone bothered by the images I do of predators feeding? I try to avoid the really gory stuff, but there's pieces and blood, etc. I can start issuing warnings if anyone feels it's necessary, but so far I haven't. And as you might guess, there's images of predators feeding here.)

I think I might have gone overboard. 65 icons! Including Amazons, cockatoos, conures, African parrots, macaws, lories, eclectus, assorted South American parrots, and a whole lot of Psittacula for some reason. And a surprise corvid. A few of these may be revisions of earlier icons (I'm doing all icons as PNGs now.) Meaning: I don't keep good track of what images I already used to iconize. Oops.

I really don't know why all the parrots at nestholes are pointing the same direction. Though I do love how the icon of the White-bellied Caique illustrates how well brightly-colored parrots can still blend into their surroundings.

I'm attempting to do this with a table generator, because I'm not happy with my usual method when it comes to matching up the name with the icon, and LJ's method of naming images doesn't help. Also: Now with alt text! But there's a key too, in case the alt text doesn't work in your browser (or I screwed it up and it doesn't work at all).
